Trước MEV-Boost: ai capture MEV?
Pre-Merge (PoW Ethereum): miner với software MEV-aware (Flashbots PGA) capture ~$100M+/năm MEV. Solo miner không có infrastructure sophisticated được zero — block họ 'left on the table' cho bot arb exploit trong block kế. Post-Merge nhưng pre-MEV-Boost: cùng problem với validator. Kinh tế builder — race to bottom trên take rate
Builder compete cho proposer attention. Bid họ = (MEV captured) × (1 − take_rate). Take rate thấp = bid cao = nhiều khả năng thắng, nhưng profit mỗi block nhỏ hơn. Market converge ~2-5% take rate cho top builder. Sao không 0%? Cost operating (server, simulation, hợp đồng private order flow) — bid 100% MEV captured sẽ nghĩa operate ở loss. Margin 2-5% là equilibrium.
Sao này matter cho non-validator (user DeFi)
Tồn tại MEV-Boost có side effect: TẬP TRUNG MEV extraction trong vài builder sophisticated. Sandwich attack, arbitrage, liquidation — đều flow qua builder này. Nghĩa hệ sinh thái MEV giờ là game visible hơn, accountable hơn (bạn trace builder nào include transaction nào trong block nào). Cũng nghĩa dùng RPC bảo vệ (Flashbots Protect, MEV Blocker) — route quanh public mempool — effective hơn bao giờ vì builder honoring route đó có commitment anti-sandwich explicit.
